Responsibilities
Partnered with leading hospitals in southern Illinois with exclusive opportunities for Cardiologists to provide locum coverage.
About the Opportunity:
Non-Interventional Schedule: Monday-Friday or 7 on/7 off. Call shifts required
Interventional Schedule: Monday-Friday. No call shifts required
EMR: Epic
PACS: Picom
Dictation: M-Modal
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
Deliver top-notch cardiovascular care while working closely with a supportive local team.
Conduct patient evaluations, interpreting diagnostic tests and developing personalized treatment plans.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive cardiac care.
Engage in routine patient follow-ups, ensuring a seamless transition from consultation to care.
Share expertise and insights on innovative cardiology practices with a friendly, team-focused approach.

Qualifications
Board certification in cardiology with a solid track record of compassionate patient care.
At least 3 years of clinical experience, with a preference for those with locum tenens expertise.
Proven ability to work effectively in both autonomous and team-focused environments.
Skilled in advanced cardiac procedures and the latest diagnostic technologies.
Adaptability to different work environments and a strong commitment to patient wellness.
Eager to make a meaningful impact in the vibrant Southern IL community.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered MD or DO New Jersey state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as a Gastroenterologist Hospitalist
One year of EMR experience
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
