Responsibilities
A leading hospital in central New Jersey, less than one hour from New York City, has an opportunity for a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum coverage.
Opening Details:
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Beds: 14 private pediatric ED beds
Admission Rate: 12%
Support Staff: 24-hour physician coverage, 10-hour APP coverage
5-bed pediatric ICU with 24-hour pediatric hospitalist coverage
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
Provide outstanding emergency care for pediatric patients in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
Triage and evaluate patients promptly, making thoughtful clinical decisions under pressure.
Document patient encounters and treatments accurately to maintain quality records.
Offer reassuring guidance to families during challenging moments in the ER.
Adapt swiftly to diverse cases while maintaining efficiency and compassion throughout each 12-hour shift.
Uphold all hospital protocols and safety standards to foster a secure, family-friendly atmosphere.
Qualifications
Board certification or strong eligibility in Pediatric Emergency Medicine is essential.
A valid and active New Jersey medical license is required for smooth practice.
Prior experience in a fast-paced emergency setting with pediatric expertise is highly valued.
Demonstrated ability to make swift, compassionate decisions during high-stress situations.
Excellent communication skills and team collaboration are key to success.
