Job Description

Androscoggin Valley Hospital (AVH) in Berlin, NH, a member of North Country Healthcare, seeks a full-time Audiologist to provide a full range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services for pediatric patients and adults. Services encompass diagnostic hearing tests, VNG, OAE, and dispensing of hearing aids to best suit the patient and their needs.

A full-time Audiologist works 4 or 5 days/week.  At AVH, provider will see patients 9 am to noon and 1-4 pm. 2-4 days per month will be outreach at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook, NH (about an hour North).

 

There is no call requirement for this position. Work schedule remains flexible, which may change, even on short notice, to meet patient care needs. May require evening hours.  Performs additional duties as assigned.

 

To qualify for NH Audiologist license, candidate must:

 

  • Demonstrate sufficient evidence of good professional character and reliability to satisfy the Board that the applicant shall faithfully and conscientiously avoid professional misconduct and otherwise adhere to requirements
  • Possess at least a Master’s degree in audiology from an educational institution approved by the Board
  • Complete a minimum of 350 hours of a supervised clinical practicum experience
  • Complete a supervised post-graduate professional experience of at least nine consecutive months with a minimum of 30 hours per week (a one-year interim license is available to applicants that complete all but the post-graduate professional experience)

 

To qualify for clinical privileges at AVH, candidate must hold active NH Audiology license.

 

AuD level, or an experienced Master’s level audiologist required.
