In Giddings, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Dentist who is committed to high quality patient care, excellent customer service and is passionate and mission minded
Job Overview:
    - Provide quality, comprehensive, primary oral health care services for infants, children and adult patients
 
    - Maintain dental expertise and competency (to include age specific competency) as well as demonstrate thorough knowledge of procedures to deliver quality primary dental care
 
    - Provide dental sessions, as scheduled, in direct patient care at clinic site, including extended hours clinics
 
    - Provide services equaling to at least (40) hours per week in clinic
 
    - Examine, diagnose, treat and/or refer patients assigned to dentist's panel, on an in-patient and out-patient basis (as per individual employment agreements)
 
    - Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate
 
    - Refer clients for appropriate specialty care services
 
    - Review all lab and x-ray reports for patients under his/her care
 
    - Provide continuity of care to center patients on his or her patient panel
 
    - Maintain a problem oriented dental record for each patient
 
    - Lead the oral health care team in identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing patient and family needs to develop a plan of care
 
    - Ensure that patient and family/significant others are educated about diagnosis and the plan of care
 
    - Participates in specified oral health promotion, education and/or prevention programs as needed
 
    - Provide clinical oversight under the supervision of the Dental Director, Medical Director and Operations Manager
 
    - Train, mentor and supervise dental support staff engaged in activities and procedures
 
    - Coverage: telephone rotation
 
    - Clinic uses NextGen EHR system
 
 
Qualifications:
    - D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree
 
    - Minimum of one year experience
 
    - Current Texas unrestricted dental license
 
    - Current DEA registrations
 
Spanish preferred but not required.
