TeamHealth has an exciting opportunity for an experienced certified nurse midwife (CNM) to join our established team at Antelope Valley Hospital. The facility is located north of L.A. – easy access to the coast or the mountains for outdoor adventure! As a CNM, you will see patients in clinic, in the obstetric emergency department (OBED), manage and deliver low risk obstetric patients, assist on cesarean sections and help with post-partum rounds. This position features 12 hour in-house night shifts and 24 hour in-house weekend shifts with a TeamHealth OB/GYN hospitalist physician. Ideal candidates are AMCB certified, able to demonstrate clinical excellence along with superior communication skills and a focus on providing quality care and patient satisfaction. Qualifications also include active skills, and a current or in-process California license to practice. Other requirements include ability to partner with nursing and support in-house call coverage for community providers, a willingness to drive patient safety and quality initiatives as required by the TeamHealth Patient Safety Organization; insurability for malpractice insurance; at least 1 year of active practice preferred; and a successful track record.
