Provide compassionate patient care as a certified nurse midwife (CNM). We have opportunities for CNMs to join our OB/Gyn hospitalist team scheduled to begin this fall in Columbus, Georgia at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown! As a CNM hospitalist, you will see patients in the obstetric emergency department (OBED), manage and deliver low risk obstetric patients, assist on cesarean sections and help with post-partum rounds. This position features 12 hour in-house day/night shifts and 24 hour in-house weekend shifts with a TeamHealth OB/GYN hospitalist physician. Ideal candidates are AMCB certified, 2 years of post-training experience, able to demonstrate clinical excellence along with superior communication skills and a focus on providing quality care and patient satisfaction. Qualifications also include active skills, and a current or in-process Georgia license to practice. Other requirements include ability to partner with nursing and support in-house call coverage for community providers, a willingness to drive patient safety and quality initiatives as required by the TeamHealth Patient Safety Organization; insurability for malpractice insurance; at least one year of active practice preferred; and a successful track record.
