Certified Nurse Midwife-Cooley Dickinson Health Care- Northampton, MA

Cooley Dickinson Medical Group is seeking an experienced certified nurse-midwife for a full-scope, full-time position with Cooley Dickinson Women's Health in Northampton, MA.

Our ideal candidate will have at least two to five years’ experience and certification in surgical first assist in cesarean deliveries.

Recently awarded Baby-Friendly certification, Cooley Dickinson Hospital features a state-of-the-art and spacious Childbirth Center where patients benefit from a warm and welcoming environment, outstanding one-on-one nursing care, hydrotherapy tub, and nitrous oxide, in addition to all standard medical offerings. Our practice performs nearly 600 deliveries annually, and approximately 70% of these are attended by nurse-midwives. 

The office practice has four convenient office locations with fully integrated EMR, in-office ultrasound, and a team passionate about providing patient-centered, evidence-based care. Our growing practice has a vibrant tradition of midwifery and strong ties to the community.  

This position will work with seven midwives in collaboration with eight OBGYNs.

Position Highlights:

• Full-scope position, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum care and gynecologic care throughout the lifespan; group prenatal care available.
• Call: 1:7 call coverage, 24-hour shifts 
• Certified nurse-midwives perform first-assist for C-sections, limited ultrasound, intrauterine insemination, endometrial biopsy, vulvar biopsy, collaborative care of high-risk pregnancies: training opportunities provided.
• Excellent collaborative relationships with physicians, who are in house for active labor and deliveries.
• Mass General Hospital maternal-fetal medicine on-site part-time, and available for telephone consultations.
• Close working relationships with physician, nursing and administrative leadership.
