Fairview Center for Women seeks a Lead Certified Nurse Midwife. (This position is for internal applicants only)

The Lead Certified Nurse Midwife is a member of the healthcare team who works in the independent management of women’s health care, focusing particularly on pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, care of the newborn, and the family planning and gynecological needs of women.  The Lead Certified Nurse Midwife practices within the Fairview health care system that provides for consultation, collaborative management or referral as indicated by the health status of the client.  Certified Nurse Midwives practice in accordance with the Standards of the Practice of Nurse Midwifery, as defined by the American College of Nurse Midwives.

As the Lead, this position is the accountable clinical leader of assigned clinical unit with day to day responsibility.  Represents unit in pertinent internal and external meetings.  Coordinates with site administrative team on related matters. 

This position works closely with the Certified Nurse Midwife team and assures that systems and processes that support the patient and the clinical encounter and overall patient experience are performing at a high level of proficiency.

Jointly with other clinic providers and through Site and Network operating committees, ensures that community and FMG standards/guidelines of medical practice are maintained.  Actively promotes the provision of quality health care and excellent patient service, to implement and execute system strategies within appropriate clinic units. 

Collaborates with all levels of leadership to ensure the execution of system service line strategies.
