Fairview Health Services is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join the multi-specialty practice at Fairview Clinics – Riverside.

Practice Details:

• Join a team of 6 Certified Nurse Midwives and 7 Physicians

• Deliveries performed at: University of Minnesota Medical Center- Fairview, adjacent to the clinic.

• Admitting Hospital: University of Minnesota Medical Center – Fairview.

• CNM group averages 50-60 deliveries per month

• Average of 22-28 patients per day in clinic

• FTE:.8

• Schedule details: 3 day clinical work week - includes clinic and on-call time

• Call Frequency: 1:7, with 24/7 in-house OB emergency support

• Established referral base of Fairview employed primary care and sub specialty physicians

Practice Location(s) Description:

• Fairview Clinics – Riverside is a multispecialty clinic serving a diverse patient population, adjacent to University of Minnesota Medical Center- Fairview in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis..

• There is an expectation that CNM’s will see clinic patients at The Riverside clinic and one additional Fairview community clinic.

• Specialties on site include:

Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, General Surgery, Urology and many more.

• Services in this region:

Care Coordination, Diabetic education, Lab, Medication Therapy Management, Health Coaching, Nutrition Education, Optical Center, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Radiology (digital) including: DEXA, Mammography, X-ray, and ultrasound.

Position Qualifications:  

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Nurse Midwife training program.

• Have a current, or be eligible for a MN APRN license and be approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges.

• Be certified through the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM)

• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.

• New graduates will be considered.
