University of Minnesota Health - Primary Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a community based practice in Maple Grove.
Practice Details:
• 5 provider primary care practice.
• Provide outpatient care to primarily adult patients.
• Patient encounters average 20-22 patients per day.
• Onsite services include: Audiology, Diabetes Education, Diagnostic Imaging Services (Radiology, Ultrasound, Mammography, CT, MRI, etc.), Laboratory Services, Medication Therapy Management, Nutrition Therapy, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy and more.
• Onsite specialties include: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Audiology, Cancer Care (Medical Oncology, Hematology, Radiation Oncology & Infusion) Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Neonatology, Nephrology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Optometry, Otolaryngology (ENT), Podiatry, Pulmonology, Rheumatology, Sports Medicine, Surgery (General, Dermatological, Hand, Plastic and Reconstructive), Orthopedics, and Urology.
• We have a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
• Providers work an expectation of 36 patient contact hours per week.
• Patients are admitted to the hospitalist service at Maple Grove Hospital.
• Opportunity for providers to perform procedures.
Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years NP experience preferred.
Position Qualifications:
A qualified candidate will be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Nurse Practitioner training program. Have a current Minnesota RN license and be approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges. Be eligible or certified through ANCC / AANP and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
