Myrtle Hilliard Davis Comprehensive Health Centers, Inc. is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to participate in the delivery of health care services as an assistant or extender to the primary care physician.
Duties:
- Reviews the work records and practices of the health care delivered at least every two weeks with the collaborating physician
- Delivers health care services and treatments, administers, dispenses, and prescribes drugs as delegated by the physician
- Provides after-hours coverage for urgent health care problems for health center patients on a rotational on-call basis.
- Participates in the health center's Performance Improvement program...
- Assists in the formulation and implementation of the health center's health care plan.
- Practices Evidence Base Medicine.
- Uses electronic health record for documentation.
- Completes and signs encounter note(s) within 24-48 hours
- Orders Lab test(s) in the electronic health record
- Reviews and signs/dates lab tests results daily both in electronic health record and printed results, when indicated.
- Reviews and signs/dates radiology reports daily
- Follows recall policy for abnormal tests
A Successful Candidate:
- Able to utilize current texts, professional standards and other resources appropriate for management and treatment to serve as guidelines for care.
- Effective clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team setting with collaborating physician
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of APN in the area of Pediatrics, Women's Health and/or for Adults required
