Acute care PA/NP experience required, trauma/ICU preferred. Requires licensure as Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority. Details of Position:
- Inpatient patient management - ICU and trauma unit
- Obtain patient history and perform exams
- Assess and revise plans of care
- Order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures as needed
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
- Educate patients and families
- Outpatient post-hospital visits
- Collaborative team of trauma surgeons and advanced practice providers
- Multidisciplinary approach - full scope of subspecialists available for consultation
- 12 hour shifts/ Block scheduling; Rotating call responsibilities
