Full-time Surgical Nurse Practitioner (NP) Opening in Danbury, Connecticut (60 miles from New York City)
Danbury Hospital is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our established and growing Surgical Advanced Practitioner Service in Danbury, Connecticut, located about 60 miles northeast of New York City and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State. Our busy service will consist of 10+ Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, providing services to all surgical patients admitted to the hospital, as well as in Observation, Extended stay, Emergency room, and Operating room, including consults as well as pre and post-operative care. Specialties include, but are not limited to, Urology, Orthopedics, Neurosurgical/Spine, Plastics, and ENT. We are a 24/7 service coverage model. Some weekend and night coverage is required. There is opportunity for a full-time nights position for interested candidates.
The ideal candidate will be a board certified nurse practitioner with previous inpatient experience with surgical patients. New graduate nurse practitioners with significant surgical nursing experience will be considered. OR assist opportunities will exist for Nurse Practitioners with RNFA certification and experience, though this is not required. This is an employed position with Western Connecticut Medical Group. We offer a competitive compensation package, including allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses.
