A Pennsylvania facility has a rewarding general surgery nurse practitioner opportunity. The shifts will be from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Sunday. You will be sharing rotation on the night shifts, unless you prefers nights. The cases seen will be appendectomies, emergency gallbladders, and small bowel obstructions. Wound care, venipuncture, venous and arterial cut downs, central venous pressure line insertions, nasogastric intubations, catheterizations, chest tube insertions, thoracentesis, suturing, and feeding tube insertions (under fluoroscopic guidance) are all required. You will also work in the clinic one day each week seeing an average of 15 to 20 patients. Assistance with hospital privileges will be provided.
