Nurse Practitioner Opportunity – Chemo Infusion – Danbury, Connecticut – 60 Miles from New York City
Nuvance Health, formerly known as Western Connecticut Health, has as excellent opportunity for a full-time, employed Clinical Coordinator Chemo Infusion/ Nurse Practitioner at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut. The position follows a Monday through Friday office schedule. Danbury is located about 60 miles northeast of New York City in suburban Fairfield County and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State.
The ideal candidate will be a board certified Nurse Practitioner with previous Hematology/Oncology experience and looking to join a dedicated and collegial team. Previous leadership experience in nursing or Nurse Practitioner role as well as Advanced Practice Oncology certification preferred. This position requires a minimum formal education of Nurse Practitioner training, State of CT license, and Federal DEA and CT Controlled Substance Registration. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, as well as allowances for CMEs and Dues.
The Clinical Coordinator of Chemo Infusion provides care to patients of the Chemotherapy Infusion Suite under the supervision of a medical oncologist in a safe and efficient manner. The Coordinator oversees and manages the practice and reports problems to the Director of Operations. The Coordinator directs, develops, leads staff and services for areas of responsibility.
Our office is based in Praxair Cancer Center within the Danbury Hospital Campus. We offer multidisciplinary cancer care, collaborating with Hematologist/Oncologists, Surgical and Medical Subspecialties, Radiation Oncology, and Palliative Care. Additionally, we offer Diagnostic Imaging, Cancer Genetics, Radiation Therapy, Cancer Research and Trials and Psychological and Social Support Services.
Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine.
