Tulane Nurse Practitioner
Tulane University School of Medicine, Neurosciences Department, is recruiting a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to practice at the Lakeview Regional Medical Center Clinic Location in Covington, LA. This position is a faculty-level position, and benefits are commensurate.
Tulane seeks a provider who cares for patients under the direction of Tulane neurology physicians in compliance with standards of practice and regulations of government agencies.
Clinical responsibilities will include participation in the care of neurological/neurosurgical patients in the inpatient setting primarily focused at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. Call will be expected. The candidate will be expected to actively participate in administrative activity including institutional and departmental committees, active participation in departmental conferences such as Neurosurgery Grand Rounds, Morbidity & Mortality Conference, and faculty meetings.

Qualifications and Skills
Master of Science in nursing. Certified adult or family nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority. Work experience with patients in a hospital/clinic setting is essential.
Required - Current Certified Physician Assistant license or State of Louisiana License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
Eligible for Louisiana Prescriptive Authority as outlined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing
