Providence Women’s and Children’s Services is seeking full-time Neonatal nurse practitioners or physician assistants/associates, who have completed a 12-month Neonatal PA fellowship or residency program, to join a well-established team of practitioners in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will provide clinical management of high-risk neonates and infants, patient education, and work collaboratively with medical, nursing and support services to provide high-value, family-centered care.
You will also exercise autonomy of practice in ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests to drive the patient treatment plans. Neonatal nurse practitioner/physician assistant coverage is provided at both Providence St. Vincent and Providence Portland Medical Centers, both teaching hospitals with Level III NICUs, Maternal Fetal Medicine consultation, and OB Hospitalist support.
Position Details:
- Full-time role, 1.0 FTE
- Advanced notice, self-scheduling; 12 and 24-hour shifts
- Join a supportive team of 13 nurse practitioners
- Provide care for high-risk infants with low birth weights, complications of prematurity, heart abnormalities, infections or other conditions
- Procedures include intubation, umbilical venous and arterial line placement, arterial sampling, peripheral arterial lines, chest tube placement, lumbar punctures
- In-patient care includes daily rounding, writing of orders and progress notes, patient education, admission and discharge summaries, attending high-risk deliveries, and performing procedures
- Advanced imaging includes MRI, CRT, and echocardiography
- Support services provided for birthing parents and babies throughout the Providence system, including 2 Level III NICUs in Portland, Oregon

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be board-certified/board-eligible NP/PA in primary specialty
