TeamHealth is hiring a temporary nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) to work in a skilled nursing facility environment in the Puyallup, Washington, area. This position will be working Monday through Friday for 60 days starting around May 20th, 2024. Key Responsibilities: - Perform primary care in a skilled nursing facility setting for short term and long-term patients
- Manage chronic disease, diagnose illnesses and medical conditions, and implement plan of care
- Order and interpret lab results
- Prescribe and monitor medications
- Consult with physicians and coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers
- Educate patients and their caregivers on coping skills to handle chronic and age-related

Requirements: - 1 or more years of experience in primary care
- Post-acute care experience a plus but not required
- Active and unrestricted nurse practitioner license in the state of Washington
- Active and unrestricted DEA for the state of Washington
Our compensation is a productivity-based model (Fee for Service) that offers you control to maximize your income potential. Expected compensation is estimated to be $25,000 annually. This temporary role is not benefit eligible.
