Lutheran Hospital is seeking candidates for a full time Pulmonary/Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This is an opportunity to join a progressive, successful, collegial group in a thriving health care system. No Visa support.
It is the intent of the Board of Directors that the Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant develop his or her own practice of medicine and also complement the health care services of their physician colleagues in the group.
Examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Education:
Requires a master's degree in area of specialty, certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, and state authority for advanced practice. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Certifications/Licenses:
Must have current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
CPR Certificate required within 90 days of hire.
Experience:
Minimum three years of ICU experience preferred.
