The Director of Nursing for Long Term Care provides strategic oversight and leadership in nursing operations within a residential care environment. The role emphasizes adherence to regulatory standards and implements best practices in patient-centered care while maintaining a focus on quality and safety in service delivery.
The Director of Nursing at CCC administers the nursing program as a department of the hospital in alignment with the CNO/COO, in order to maintain standards of patient/resident care; advises management, patient/resident care staff and hospital CEO in matters related to nursing service. Recommends establishment or revision of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance in alignment with Tenet standards. In collaboration with the hospital CNO/COO, interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Develops budgets, integrates with hospital guidelines and complies with Balanced Score Card targets.

Responsibilities
Oversee the nursing operations and strategic planning for long term care facilities to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Develop and implement policies and procedures in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Lead a multidisciplinary team by providing guidance, mentorship, and ongoing performance evaluations.
Monitor and enhance the quality of care through continuous assessment of clinical practices and patient feedback.
Coordinate with administrative and medical personnel to align nursing services with overall organizational goals.
Manage staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation to maintain efficient patient care delivery.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the nursing department.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in nursing administration and strategic management within long term care environments.
Extensive clinical background combined with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
Proven ability in developing and executing policies that advance patient care while promoting interdisciplinary collaboration.
Strong leadership skills with a commitment to staff development, performance evaluation, and evidence-based practice.
Adept in managing complex budgets, resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Excellent communication and problem-solving proficiencies instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence.
Associates degree in Nursing, BSN preferred
Five years of experience as an RN in a SNF or acute care setting
Three years of experience as a nurse manager
Current RN License
Current CPR certification
