As we grow to best serve the needs of our communities we are excited to add a Cardiology Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner to our care team!Lovelace was identified in Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work 2016 through 2018 deemed a New Mexico Family-Friendly Business Award Gold Level recognition, 2016-2019 and recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home among other awards.Job Summary:Schedule: 12 hour shift working 7 days on 7 days off.Provide clinical care to patients in accordance to regulations to include but not limited to obtaining patient history, ordering labs, diagnostic studies, and arranging referrals.Uphold excellent bedside manners and ability to create a great patient experience.Explain medical procedures and plan of care to patients.Responsible for in-patient care, rounding, admissions, discharges, and consults.Assess patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations, obtaining, updating and studying medical histories.Document patient care services by charting in-patient and department records in EPIC.Attend departmental meetings and professional training sessions as requested.Adhere and have knowledge of laws to internal medicine, including HIPPA.Communicate effectively with physicians and medical staff to coordinated care.Position Requirements:Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.Ability to obtain a New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license.Three (3) plus years of experience with inpatient medicine and the ability to work independently with critical care patients.Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification desired.Why Lovelace Medical GroupNationally competitive salaryComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.Generous Sign-on BonusRelocation AssistanceFree Health and Wellness programs available to all Lovelace employees.Annual Continuing Medical Education AllowanceLife insurance options and both short-term and long-term disability programs.401K employer match, contribution, and deferred compensationAbout Albuquerque, New MexicoAlbuquerque is a charming city rich in culture, creative energy, and some of the best sunrises in the Southwest.
