Methodist Healthcare is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for its Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgery program at Methodist Children’s Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job:
The advanced practice provider (APP) [Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)] will be working alongside Dr. Anastasios Polimenakos, our Medical Director of Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiology program, to assist with clinical procedures, assist in the OR; assist with post-op management on the step down unit; assist with pre-op clinic assessments and post-op clinic follow-ups.

Qualifications:
• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program (specialty preferred: acute care pediatrics)
• BS degree, MS degree or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in the pediatric cardiac specialty field or pediatric ICU, and/or cardiovascular service-line field (pediatric or adult)
• Texas License eligible
• Board Certified by the NCCPA or PNCB or equivalent
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS provider
