Providence has a temporary opportunity for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join the International Heart Institute of Montana in Missoula. Currently, the surgeons perform over 350 open heart cases per year and are supported by a dedicated team of PA's, NP's, nurses, surgical technicians, and clerical office staff. There is also a robust structural heart program that collaborates between interventional cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery physicians. - Temporary 6-month position
- On-call requirement of 1:4
- Four 10-hour days/week in addition to rotating weekend and on-call requirement
- Proficient skills in endoscopic vein and radial harvest preferred
- Experience assisting in complex valve and bypass surgeries desired
- Support the surgeons in the operating room during cardiac and thoracic surgeries
- Participate in daily management during the postoperative period
