Providence has an opportunity for a full-time cardiothoracic surgery physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join the Providence Heart Institute of Montana at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula. Currently, the surgeons perform over 350 open heart cases per year and are supported by a dedicated team of physician assistants, nurses, surgical technicians, and clerical office staff. There is also a robust structural heart program which is a collaborative program between interventional cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery physicians, making this is an excellent opportunity to join a world-renowned heart center all while enjoying a great work-life balance in beautiful western Montana.

• Full-time position; competitive compensation and benefits
• Experience with assisting in cardiac surgeries including endoscopic vein and radial harvest required
• On-call requirement of 1:4
• Four ten-hour days/week in addition to rotating weekend and on-call requirement
• Duties include supporting the surgeons in the operating room during cardiac and thoracic surgeries, and participating in daily management during the postoperative period
