Providence has an opportunity for a full-time physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join the International Heart Institute (IHI) of Montana at the hospital in Missoula. Currently, the surgeons perform over 350 open heart cases per year and are supported by a dedicated team of physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, surgical technicians, and clerical office staff. There is also a robust structural heart program which is a collaborative program between interventional cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery physicians, making this is an excellent opportunity to join a world-renowned heart center in the heart of the Rockies. while enjoying a great work-life balance.
- Full-time position; competitive compensation and benefits
- Proficient skills in endoscopic vein and radial harvest, as well as assisting in complex valve and bypass surgeries required
- On-call requirement of 1:4
- Four ten-hour days/week in addition to rotating weekend and on-call requirement
- Duties include supporting the surgeons in the operating room during cardiac and thoracic surgeries, and participating in daily management during the postoperative period
