TeamHealth has an opportunity for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our team full-time at Banner Baywood in Mesa, Arizona, in the observation unit of the emergency department. This facility has a 26-bed observation unit with 24 hours of APC coverage in 10-hour shifts. This is a fast-paced unit that works in close collaboration with the emergency department, consultants, support staff of the unit, and Banner administrative physicians. Types of cases include, cardiac, neurological, surgical, medical, and include trauma, overdoses, and even some psychiatric disorders. There is 24/7 supervising physician oversight, and on-site emergency physician and hospitalist in-house coverage. Significant clinical experience in hospital medicine or critical care experience and ACLS certification are required. No new graduates are being considered at this time.
