Lutheran Health Network, Medical Group, in Warsaw, Indiana is seeking Neurology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to join our established Neurology practice. Primary care to patients includes cerebrovascular disease such as stroke, central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, headache disorders, movement disorders, and seizures provided under supervision of clinic Physician.
Kosciusko Community Hospital (KCH):
Located on a 30 acre medical campus, KCH is a 72 bed, medium rural size facility, with all private rooms, offering general and surgical services. Women’s medical services extended include labor, delivery, nursery, breastfeeding support, eLearning Childbirth Education and mammography.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform evaluations/examinations and problem identification of patient.
- Order tests such as EMG, EEG, labs and CNS diagnostic imaging.
- Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
- Make tentative diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patient.
- Partner with physician regarding proposed plan of care and formulates with patient involvement.
- Manages therapeutic regime and modify plan if necessary.
- Instruct/counsel patient on prescribed medications and health maintenance.
- Obtain, compile and record patient medical data electronically (Cerner), including health history, progress notes and results of physical exams, findings.
Experience Required:
- Prefer 1-2 years of neurology experience; however willing to train.
- Full time position; M-F.
- Assist with On Calls as required.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
- Creative problem solver/critical thinker.
License Requirements:
- Valid Indiana State Nursing License
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
- Board Certified
