Full-Time – Call Schedule - Anesthesiology Opportunity at Sharon Hospital in Litchfield County, Connecticut

Sharon Hospital is seeking a full-time call Anesthesiologist to join our employed group based in Litchfield County in Connecticut. Sharon hospital is a 78-bed community hospital in northwestern Connecticut with surgical, obstetric, and endoscopic services. Surgical services include general, orthopedics, ophthalmology, urology, and gynecology. No heads, hearts, vascular, thoracic, or trauma. Mix of bread and butter cases, familiarity with ultrasound guided regional anesthetic techniques is preferred.  The hospital averages 1800 cases per year and about 200 deliveries per year. This opportunity is a call position which requires 10-12 home calls per month and a 30 minute response.  The candidate should expect to hold privileges at one or more of our network sister facilities. 

This is an employed opportunity with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. Our larger team of approximately 40 physicians and 40 CRNAs covers a variety of cases including spine, orthopedics, cardiac, and obstetrics at 4 hospitals in Fairfield and Litchfield Counties in Connecticut. Our employed Medical Group includes 900+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York. We are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine.

The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Anesthesia. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses, malpractice coverage and relocation reimbursement.

Located in scenic Litchfield County, Sharon is a community with many beautiful and small hamlets. Sharon is surrounded by charming villages like Millerton and Millbrook, New York, and Kent, Connecticut. Just 90 miles outside of New York City, the area offers a plethora of outdoor, community and family activities from hiking, biking, boating, and fishing in state and regional parks, to local attractions like museums, wineries, cafés, restaurants, farmers markets, and art galleries.  Excellent housing and highly rated public and private schools can be found throughout the area. New York City, Hartford, and Boston are all easily accessible.
