TeamHealth has an excellent fellowship opportunity for a full time Anesthesiologist to join our team at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Our program is a comprehensive 12 month program focused on training our fellows in becoming experts in the practice of Acute Pain Medicine and Regional Anesthesiology. The Acute Pain Service at Tampa General Hospital consists of Attendings, nine Advanced Practice Clinicians and ten Block Nurses. On a monthly basis, the service performs over 280 nerve blocks, over 380 in-hospital pain consults and over 1500 in-hospital pain follow ups. Fellows should expect to perform 1,000 plus blocks during their one year in training. Clinicians at Tampa General Hospital consist of a mixture of private practice and university physician and specialty teams. The Acute Pain Service works closely with all surgical lines, medical specialties and primary care clinicians. This positions responsibilities are 80 percent Fellowship and 20 percent Attending Anesthesiologist. Benefits include a salary of $98,000 per year, annual CME allowance of $2,000, and 4 weeks of PTO.
