Our hospital recently joined with Atlantic Health Systems, and in doing so created a new opportunity for expansion of our Anesthesia services. We are seeking a BC/BE Anesthesiologist, who wants to be the newest member of our family, for a full-time opportunity at CentraState Medical Center. As a community hospital, our procedures are mostly bread-and-butter, such as: General Surgery, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, Spine, Plastics, Urology, low volume Obstetrics, and extremely rare healthy pediatrics. We are NOT a trauma center and rarely deal with any high-risk OB issues. Over the many years, CentraState has spent considerable effort to foster a strong and friendly culture within the perioperative department. We maintain a very close relationship with our hospital administration, and more importantly, our friendly surgeons. We perform lots of regional blocks as part of ERAS/Joint Protocols so there is plenty of opportunity to show off your skill set. If you don’t have strong regional training, your new colleagues will be more than happy to teach/guide you until you feel comfortable, especially with our state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment.

OUR GROUP: What makes us unique is that we are a small close-knit group of 9 Physicians and 7 CRNAs who work in a team model. We are excited to have the ability to expand and bring in a new doc to add to our family. We are an “all hands in” type of group, and communicate frequently about different scenarios, and keep each other updated on the newest regional techniques, and research. LIFESTYLE: Work-Life balance is priority. No one wants to be in the hospital longer than necessary, so we work efficiently to get people out. We plan for 3 first and second calls/month, where we usually begin in the late afternoon, and get the post-call day off. Calls are benign, and it is not unusual to get a full night of sleep. Our CRNAs have staggered shifts, so very rarely do we have long days, even while on second call. Vacation weeks, holiday picks, and calls are split equally no matter how long you have been with us.
