Job Description

St. David’s HealthCare is seeking a full-time program director to assist with the development of and lead our new Anesthesia residency program in Austin, TX.

Provider will be employed with NAPA, working both in the HCA/St.David’s GME program and with NAPA providing anesthesia services.
 
Qualified Candidates:? 
 
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency prior to start date
ABA board-eligible or board-certified
Experience must include specialty expertise and at least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience, preferably in an undergraduate and/or graduate medical education environment
Experience must include ongoing clinical activity
Be willing to combine administrative and didactic (teaching) responsibilities
Have strong administrative and team building skills 
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
Candidates with recent scholarly activity – such as peer reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in textbooks, publication or presentation of case reports or clinical series at scientific society meetings, or participation in national committees or educational organizations – are highly encouraged to apply
