Interventional Cardiologist

Great Valley Cardiology, a division of Commonwealth Health, has an immediate need for a BE/BC interventional cardiologist to replace a retiring physician. The new physician would have a busy practice from day one.

• TAVR experience a plus but not required.

• Interventional call is shared with another group and is approximately 1:5.
• Hospital features three state-of-the-art cath labs one of which is a hybrid room for TAVR and Watchman procedures.

Great Valley Cardiology has been proud to serve the people of Scranton,
Pennsylvania and the surrounding communities for over 45 years. We are a 10-
person single specialty group that currently consists of 3 interventional
cardiologists, 3 electrophysiologists and four noninvasive cardiologists. We offer
the full range of cardiology services including in office stress testing,
echocardiography and vascular ultrasound at our main office and we see patients
at two satellite offices. We have an active structural heart program and
performed approximately 150 TAVR procedures last year. We also have a device
management clinic and a Coumadin clinic. The hospitals we serve support an
internal medicine residency program with opportunities to teach residents. Our
practice continues to grow and we see approximately 150 new patients per week.


Scranton, PA is a city of 70,000 people with a greater Metropolitan area of
approximately 250,000 people located near the majestic Pocono Mountains of
Northeast Pennsylvania. The city has 2 universities, fine restaurants and many
cultural events throughout the year. There is a 4-season climate with many
opportunities for outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, playing golf or just
enjoying nature. We are just a 15-minute drive from 2 ski mountains and a 2 hour
drive from New York City and Philadelphia.
