Chief of Cardiac Surgery Opportunity– Vassar Brothers Medical Center – Poughkeepsie, New York (75 minutes north of New York City)

 Vassar Brothers Medical Center, now part of Nuvance Health, has an excellent opportunity for a Chief of Cardiac Surgery to join our award-winning cardiac surgery team. Our employed practice consists of 3 cardiac surgeons and a dedicated team of allied health professionals including 24/7/365 in-house PA coverage. Vassar is located in Poughkeepsie, New York, about 75 minutes north of New York City in the suburban Mid-Hudson Valley region of the state.  

 The program performs the full range of cardiac services, including CABG, valve repair, advanced aortic surgery, ECMO, and structural heart procedures. The ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience, excellent people-skills and a strong desire and ability to function within a cohesive local team as well as part of a larger network program. Experience/interest in structural heart procedures and mechanical circulatory support welcome.
