Candidates must be residency trained and board prepared or certified in emergency medicine (EM). Hialeah Hospital cares for an annual patient volume of 41,000. The emergency department features 25 beds and a fast track. This is a level II trauma center. There are 36 hours of daily physician coverage and 24 hours of advanced practice clinician coverage daily.
