Responsibilities
Partnered with a hospital in northwestern Indiana with an opening for an Emergency Medicine Physician to assist their team.
About the Opening:
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
Annual Volume: 22,000 patients
ED Beds: 18
Admission Rate: 17%
Support Staff: APCs
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified

Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care that brightens patients’ days.
Collaborate closely with a dedicated team to ensure seamless care during every shift.
Rapidly assess and manage diverse medical situations with a friendly, focused approach.
Document patient information clearly and accurately, maintaining trust and confidentiality.
Adapt quickly to evolving situations while keeping a positive, professional demeanor.
Embrace teamwork and open communication to create a supportive environment for all.
Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered MD or DO New Jersey state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as a Gastroenterologist Hospitalist
One year of EMR experience
Board Certified
Valid board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
Proven experience in fast-paced emergency departments is a big plus
Ability to thrive during 12-hour day shifts with energy and positivity
Great teamwork and clear communication skills to ensure excellent patient care
Adaptable to dynamic environments and varying patient needs
A compassionate and friendly approach towards patients and colleagues
Commitment to upholding high standards in patient safety and quality care
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
