Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital is looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join its Emergency Department.
Scope of Practice
The practice is Emergency Medicine. Grand Itasca is a Level III Trauma Center, certified acute stroke ready and currently has 6 Emergency Medicine Physicians and 1 Advanced Practice Provider.
- 12 hour shifts from 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am
- Double coverage on weekends, holidays and weekday evenings
- 12 shifts each month
- Average of 16,000 visits a year

Grand Itasca has been in operation since 1917. Grand Itasca providers see 10,000 to 12,000 clinic patients per month. The hospital operates a 10-bed intensive care unit, 13-bed women's health and birth unit, and 27-bed medical/surgical/pediatric unit. The primary service area includes roughly 50,000 people.
Grand Itasca has a walk-in, acute care clinic called Rapid Clinic, located adjacent to the Emergency Department. Grand Itasca also has a satellite primary care clinic at the Itasca County Family YMCA, called Grand Itasca YMCA Clinic.
Position Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited ACGME emergency medicine residency training
program and Board Certified/Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical
Specialties or American Osteopathic Association. Licensed or ability to obtain
Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure. Ability to obtain and /or
maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota. Meet threshold
criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
