TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Physician to join our Emergency Department team at Virtua Health and Wellness Center in Camden, New Jersey. Virtus Health received a recently renovated and expanded satellite ED that functions very well. Basic lab and radiology studies available on site as well as 16 slice CT scanner. There is an average of 2 transfers per day which are sent to another facility within the Virtua Health System, usually our Voorhees location. There is some moderate patient acuity with our experienced Advanced Practice Clinicians seeing all cases. This SED is capable of performing all ED treatments and has volume is approximately 110 patients per day with the majority of patients during day and evening hours. Dispositions are easily made and point of care testing in on site lab. There are rare catastrophic events and Virtua Health's ED has an ultrasound, glideoscope and slit lamp. There is some teaching in the form of Advanced Practice Clinician students. There is a dental, family medicine, and podiatry clinic across street from for follow ups. Virtua Health's ED is switching to EPIC EMR soon.
