This 277-bed community hospital is part of a premier healthcare network in upstate New York and serves as a Primary Stroke and STEMI Center. Responsibilities
ED Volume: 47,000 annual visits
EMR: Epic
Facility: New, modern ED opened in 2017
Radiology suite located within the ED
24/7 Interventional Cath Lab
Hospitalist team handles admissions
Cross-credentialing available at Albany Memorial and St. Peter's
Providers not responsible for floor codes
1.5–2% transfer rate
Portable ultrasound machines available for providers
Designated STEMI & Primary Stroke Center
J-1 Visa Sponsorship Available
Qualifications
Board Certified/Board Eligible in: Emergency Medicine
Open to Residents and Fellows
Open to Visa Candidates
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered physician New York state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as Emergency Medicine Physician
One year of EMR experience

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
