The hospital has established an emergency medicine residency program. This academic position offers a monthly stipend and clinical shifts at a competitive rate. Mercy St. Vincent is a Level I Trauma Center and the emergency department (ED) experiences an annual patient volume of 70,000 with an admission rate at 25%. Additionally, up to 49 hours of physician coverage and 20 hours of advanced practice clinician coverage are scheduled daily.
