Full-time Endocrinologist and Medical Director of New Thyroid / Parathyroid Center, Norwalk, Connecticut– One Hour from New York City

Nuvance Health, formerly known as Western Connecticut Health, is seeking a full-time Endocrinologist with interest in thyroid and parathyroid disease and leadership potential to join our employed practice in Norwalk, Connecticut, located about 50 miles northeast of New York City in suburban Fairfield County.

The ideal candidate will be board certified in Endocrinology with 3-5 years or more of post fellowship experience and looking to join a dedicated and collegial interdisciplinary team. The position is mainly office based general endocrinology with some inpatient consults at Norwalk Hospital and there are opportunities for an academic appointment and to work with residents and medical students.   Position includes dedicated time to develop and serve as the Co-Medical Director (with an endocrine surgeon) of the Thyroid / Parathyroid Center. Currently there is one full time general endocrinologist in the practice with plans to add another full time endocrinologist in late 2021.

Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 900+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Astride a hill with a commanding view of the Long Island Sound, Norwalk Hospital serves a varied and attractive region of Southern Connecticut. The hospital is just minutes from beautiful places to hike, swim, sail or just walk along the beach. Public schools are very highly rated. New York City is easily accessible by car or train.
