In Fort Worth, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking an experienced full-time Family Medicine Physician who will be committed to helping the patient population (includes uninsured and underinsured) reach optimal health and support the plans and operations to become a patient centered medical home.
Job Overview:
- Provide direct patient care including diagnoses, treatment and/or proper referral while maintaining expected medical standards
- Supervise assigned midlevel providers in the conduct of clinical care and delegates authority and responsibility
- Review assigned midlevel provider's patient charts
- Provide medical evaluation, treatment and consultation services
- Respond to emergencies and answers medical questions
- Obtain and document, or causes to be obtained and documented; appropriate chief complaint, past medical, family and social history, review of systems, examination, medications and allergies, assessment and plan for each patient
- Provide medical orders for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals
- Review ancillary test results and coordinates notification to the patient
- Communicate with the clinic's partners and patients
- Provide patient education
- Supervises patient care by non-clinic agencies such as home health care, nursing home, or hospice
- Available to patients personally or through clinical staff to answer questions and relay information regarding their care
- Completion of appropriate paper work to comply with insurance and reimbursement
- Work closely with the Chief Medical Officer to provide leadership and medical direction for the clinic
- Attend all staff, clinical, board or other special meetings as requested
- Support the mission of the center
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times
- Work with various cultural and ethnic groups in a tactful and efficient manner
- Call Coverage: Rotate with all providers

Qualifications:
- Board certified in Family Medicine required
- Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine
- Current unrestricted license from the Texas Medical Board to practice as a physician in the State of Texas
- Annual continuing medical education as required by Board specialty
- Must be registered and have current DEA and other such certificates to legally operate a practitioner in the State of Texas
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Professionals Certification
- ACLS, PALS preferred
- Must not be excluded from participation in federal health care programs
- Ability to speak enough Spanish to examine Spanish-speaking patients and converse on basic level strongly preferred
- Ability to relate to culturally diverse patients and community
- Must have strong listening, written and oral communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly
- Must have the ability to understand and respond effectively and with sensitivity to all age spectrums
- 2 years post graduate experience preferred
