In La Grange, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician.

Job Overview:

• The candidate must be a flexible team player who enjoys interacting with a multidisciplinary team - Family Practice, Pediatrician, and Nurse Practitioner, Assistants, and management staff
• The preferred candidate will have had experience and desire to work with patients of all ages who may be part of the area's medically underserved populations
• Cultural competency with the Hispanic and African American Populations of the area is also preferred
• Qualified applicants must have the ability to lead, manage and coordinate patient care with other physicians, dentist, and other allied health and social service providers
• Communication, problem solving, and negotiating skills are essential for this position to work as a successful integrated multidisciplinary health care provider
• Expected to see a minimum of 3 patients per hour
• EMR knowledge or willingness to learn is a must
• Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate
• Refers clients for appropriate specialty care services
• Participates in the analysis of community health problems and assists in the development of the community health care plan
• Clinic uses NextGen EHR system

Qualifications:

• Board Certified
• Graduation from an accredited medical school
• Completion of approved post-graduate training
• Current unrestricted Texas Medical license
• Must have current DEA registrations for the purpose of writing prescriptions
• Experience preferred, but will consider new graduates

*Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required
