Job Description

Seeking a full-time Skilled Nursing Facility physician to join an excellent post-acute and long-term care team in Anchorage, Alaska. The provider team currently includes two full-time physicians, one part-time physician and two wound-care-certified nurse practitioners, as well as periodic participation of Family Medicine residents and Palliative Care Fellows.   • The team cares for 96 long-term care residents in Anchorage, 40 residents in Seward, along with a 50-bed post-acute Transitional Care Center in Anchorage
  • The ideal candidate will be board-eligible/board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine

With 401 beds, more than 1,100 nurses and more than 800 doctors, Providence Alaska Medical Center is the largest and most comprehensive hospital in the state and the only one with a dedicated Children’s Hospital. A nationally recognized Level II trauma center, this hospital features heart and cancer centers, Alaska’s largest emergency department with LifeMed Alaska air ambulance transport, full diagnostic, rehabilitation and surgical services, and inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse recovery services for adults and children.
