We are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine/Family Medicine or Infectious Disease Physician for a permanent position. Responsibilities
Provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of complex medical conditions in alignment with established clinical guidelines.
Develops and implements individualized treatment strategies that emphasize evidence-based practices and patient-centered care.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination of care and optimize clinical outcomes.
Oversees the prevention, identification, and management of infectious diseases within both community and clinical settings.
Participates actively in continuing education, clinical research, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance medical practice.
Mentors and supports the professional development of medical staff, residents, and students through leadership and training.
Upholds the highest ethical standards and regulatory compliance in all aspects of clinical practice and decision-making.
Qualifications
Possession of an MD or DO degree from an accredited institution with board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Infectious Diseases.
A minimum of five years of clinical practice experience in a high-acuity environment, demonstrating advanced patient management skills.
Expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing complex medical conditions with a focus on evidence-based practices.
Proficiency in interpreting advanced diagnostic tests and utilizing sophisticated treatment modalities effectively.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in continuing medical education and research initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills essential for enhancing patient care outcomes.
A proven track record of contributing to quality improvement projects and institutional protocol development.
Be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine and possess Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Infectious Diseases
Possess valid State of Connecticut licensure and have or be eligible to obtain DEA and state narcotic registration
Be willing and able to deliver high quality patient care in an efficient manner
Be willing and able to provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population with complex needs in a collaborative environment.
Have a track record of proven success communicating effectively with patients, peers, and other stakeholders both orally and in writing.
Have demonstrated ability to maintain timely, thorough and accurate written clinical documentation
Be able to make evidence-based clinical decisions and comply with department and organizational quality measures
Be comfortable using electronic health record and other computer systems
Possess a resourceful, problem-solving attitude and an appropriate level of accountability
Be willing to perform other duties as assigned
Candidates with 3+ years’ experience working in an ambulatory setting or providing urgent care are strongly preferred. Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and English are preferred.
