Primary Care Opening in Newtown, Connecticut (60 miles from New York City)
Nuvance Health Medical Group is seeking a Primary Care Physician for our Newtown Primary Care & Specialty Practice office in Newtown, CT to join our busy practice with 2 Physicians, 2 Physician Assistants and 1 LCSW. Newtown is a scenic “small town” located in Fairfield County in southwestern Connecticut, about sixty miles from New York City.
This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. Competitive total compensation package including base salary, incentive pay, paid time off, CME time off and allowance, medical, dental, vision, life, disability and 401k match. Hiring bonus and relocation stipend may also be available.
The ideal candidate will be a compassionate primary care physician who will provide comprehensive care in a team-based environment to our population of patients. This includes not only caring for acute and chronic conditions, but working with multidisciplinary support staff to promote the health and well-being of our entire panel of covered lives. This as a full-time, office-based position providing out-patient services only, utilizing a state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record fully integrated across all our hospitals and sites.
Job Requirements:
- MD or DO with CT State License, Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance Registration
- Have successfully completed a Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Peds Residency.
- Must be Board Certified or be Board Eligible
- Off-hour coverage – Shared among multiple providers, phone-calls only with nurse triage
- Willingness to work variable schedule 8 hour shifts Monday through Friday between 8 AM – 5 PM
