Lead a comprehensive and multidisciplinary team while serving a medically diverse population as a full-time Ambulatory Care Chief for New York Health + Hospitals.This organization is passionate about its patients and provides excellent Primary Care services, especially to those who are ineligible or cannot afford health insurance. This role requires a board-eligible/board-certified physician with at least two to five years of previous leadership experience.
This position will be headquartered at Harlem Hospital in Manhattan, where you will work for an established practice in the heart of New York City. In this role, you will oversee multiple ambulatory care services including, Adult Primary Care, Pediatrics, Women's Health, Behavioral Health, Annual Visits, Telehealth, Dentistry and an Ambulatory Surgery unit.
Duties include:
• Leading and implementing the clinical and administrative direction for the Ambulatory Care Center at Harlem Hospital
• Setting expectations for attendings, house staff and providers
• Implementing evidence-based care guidelines and best practices
• Overseeing improvement initiatives in outpatient services
• Lead regulatory expectations and population health projects
• Developing and implementing strategies for provider attraction and retention
• Providing educational and academic leadership
• Supporting clinic-based research and scholarship
• Participating in meetings; including representing the facility on the NYC Health + Hospitals Ambulatory Care Leadership Council Executive Committee
