Job Description

Providence Milwaukie Family Medicine Residency Program is seeking an exceptional Clinician Educator to be a faculty member in our established teaching primary care clinic, located on the campus of Providence Milwaukie Hospital. As a faculty provider, you will serve as a clinical mentor to medical residents from our program that includes 7 residents per class + 2 interns from our rural training program. The Milwaukie Healing Place clinic provides full spectrum, team-based care to a diverse, multicultural population performing adult, pediatric, obstetrical, procedural, and addiction medicine care. This is a great opportunity to be a key member of one of the only accredited family medicine residency programs in the Portland metro area.

  • Full-time position (0.8 - 1.0 FTE) with direct care of your own patient panel, as well as precepting residents + protected FTE focused on academic responsibilities (including teaching, evaluations, scholarly activity, and faculty development sessions)
  • Full-spectrum Family Medicine w/OB preferred
  • Osteopathic trained physicians with interest in teaching osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) highly valued
  • Medication Assisted Treatment of Opiate Use Disorder highly valued
  • Ideal candidate will also have experience in Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS)
  • Work closely with GME leadership of the Family Medicine Residency program to provide vision, leadership, collaboration, and supervision for the family medicine residents and medical students
  • Experienced physicians or early-career physicians with a passion for teaching encouraged to apply
