Full-time Gastroenterology Opening –Norwalk Hospital– Norwalk, Connecticut (50 miles from New York City)

Western Connecticut Medical Group has as excellent opportunity for a full-time Gastroenterologist at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut, located about one hour outside of New York City. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long established teaching program with the opportunity for a faculty appointment. Our practice includes five physicians and a physician assistant. Our Gastroenterology Fellowship is a Yale University School of Medicine level II affiliated, three-year program leading to ABIM certification in Gastroenterology.

The ideal candidate will be a board certified/eligible gastroenterologist looking to join a highly collegial team.  We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses as well as a relocation stipend.

Western Connecticut Health Network includes Norwalk, Danbury, and New Milford Hospitals in addition to our Medical Group, which has over 70 outpatient practice locations.  Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the Vermont College of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 400+ physicians and 150+ advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
