Full-time Gastroenterology Opening –Norwalk Hospital– Norwalk, Connecticut (50 miles from New York City)

Western Connecticut Medical Group has as excellent opportunity for a full-time Gastroenterologist at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut, located about one hour outside of New York City. The ideal candidate will have outstanding General Gastroenterology and routine ERCP skills. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long established teaching program with the opportunity for a faculty appointment. Our team includes five physicians and a physician assistant. We perform procedures in a state-of-the-art brand new endoscopy suite. Our Gastroenterology Fellowship is a Yale University School of Medicine level II affiliated, three-year program leading to ABIM certification in Gastroenterology. There is also opportunity for a leadership role for interested candidates.

Candidates should be board certified in Gastroenterology with training/experience in ERCP and looking to join a highly collegial team. Leadership experience is a plus. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses as well as a relocation stipend.

Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the Vermont College of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine.
