Full-time Gastroenterology Opening –Norwalk Hospital– Norwalk, Connecticut (50 miles from New York City)

Nuvance Health, formerly known as Western Connecticut Health, has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Gastroenterologist at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut, located one hour outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County. The ideal candidate will have outstanding general gastroenterology skills. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long established teaching program with the opportunity for a faculty appointment. Our team includes six physicians and two advanced practitioners. We perform procedures in a state-of-the-art brand new endoscopy suite. Our Gastroenterology Fellowship is a Yale University School of Medicine level II affiliated, three-year program leading to ABIM certification in Gastroenterology.

Candidates should be board certified/eligible in Gastroenterology and looking to join a highly collegial team. New graduates in 2022 or recent graduates are welcome to apply. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses as well as a relocation stipend.

Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the Vermont College of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Our employed Medical Group includes 900+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
